Here we go...

So here we go…. My very first post on this brand new Website. I have to say that building my brand and building the foundations of a new company has not been an easy journey. I am so thankful to my friends and family members who have been there for me from day one, either with their simple “Today is going to be a great day” text reminders or their (much needed) help in creating a unique Brand Experience (you know who you are).

Creating this company and going “solo” has been a dream of mine for many, many years – I always knew that somehow I would get there… I just didn’t see this coming as fast as it did. God bless. Given my background, the way I was shaped all my life by my personal experiences and the way I was raised … I don’t think there was any alternative anyway. I was born to create.

My dad is an entrepreneur himself; he built many (successful) companies from scratch … always eager to get his hands on something new. My mom and I actually have a say about him: “he just needs to touch something to turn it into gold”, and I really believe it’s true. He doesn’t just stay in his comfort zone, he’s constantly on the lookout for new opportunities, new challenges and new projects even if it’s something that is completely new to him… that’s what really triggers his interest. He is the human incarnation of the saying “when there’s a will, there’s a way”. He inspires me every day and I know that without his support, his energy and the life lessons he’s taught me, I would never be where I am today. He pushes me to better myself every single day. The same goes for my mom who is not only the strongest person I know – but she is also my “bright shining star”. She taught me to always see the bright side of things and to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, NO MATTER WHAT! (Pray to Buddha Roxane!). I sometimes tease her because she once told me she was kidnapped by aliens when she was little and thinking back on this “story”, I now realize this was (maybe) a metaphor to emphasize the fact that she is way too good for this planet. This is SO true. She is a rare breed: a kind soul, a brilliant mind and always seeing the good in people. You can’t find these qualities in many people nowadays. Her positivity keeps me going. Amen!

Oh how proud am I to have brought a new “baby” to our family: RDK Events & Communications Ltd…. (I can hear my mom roar in the back… Yes, Ma’, I know what you’re thinking right now).

Little (soon to be big) RDK Events & Communications was born on October 25th, 2016 in Toronto and is pleased to be offering services to companies, individuals and brands that relish an opportunity to shine. As an experienced and savvy individual, I always make it a priority to keep up with the latest trends in the event industry (it’s just so much fun!) and strive to master some of the newest tech and social trends in order to remain ahead of the curve. That is why (amongst other reasons), I would like to suggest that you (dear readers) consider me in the planning of your future milestone events; from your wedding anniversary, your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah (#RDKsocial) to your annual Holiday Gala or product launch (#RDKcorporate).

Finally – YOU, yes YOU! Have you liked my Facebook page and are you following me on Instagram? NO? Well what the hell are you waiting for? ….

….. Ha, better ☺.

So much more to come in the upcoming weeks and months, and in the meantime, sign up to our Newsletter for monthly updates, events and industry tips.

Cheers and here’s to many brilliant events to come!
